Section 3 Troubleshooting
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
Disconnect electric power to the tumbler before servicing.
Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumbler before servicing.
Close steam valve to steam tumbler before servicing.
Never start the tumbler with any guards/panels removed.
Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the tumbler is properly grounded.

NOTE: If the unit will not reverse when reversing is selected, check for proper operation and wiring of
reversing switch. Replace if necessary.
Step Problem If No, then
1 Is there120 VAC to the COM terminal of the door switch?
If yes, continue to next step.
Correct wiring between door switch and L1 supply for
208-240 units. Check transformer on 480 Volt.
2 Is there 120 VAC to the N.O. terminal of the door switch?
If yes, continue to next step.
Check for proper operation of door switch arm and/or
replace door switch.
3 Is there 120 VAC to terminal P2 of the micro control? If
yes, continue to next step.
Correct wiring between door switch and micro control.
4 Is there 120 VAC to terminal P1 of the micro control? If
yes, continue to next step.
Replace micro control.

If yes, continue to next step.
Correct wiring to the coil of motor contactor.
6 Is there voltage to terminals L1, L2, and L3 of motor
contactor? If yes, continue to next step.
Correct wiring between motor contactor terminals and L1,
L2, L3 of TB1.
7 Is there voltage at terminals T1, T2 and T3 of the M
contactor? If yes, continue to next step.
Replace motor contactor.
8 Is there voltage to terminals T1, T2, T3 on the forward
contactor and voltage to terminals U, V, and W on the
reversing contactor? If yes, continue to next step.
Correct wiring between forward contactor and motor
contactor and /or correct wiring between reverse contactor
and motor contactor.
9 Is there voltage to L1, L2, L3 on the forward contactor or
voltage to terminals X, Y, and Z on the reversing
contactor? If yes, continue to next step.
Continue to Step 11.
10 Is there voltage to L1, L2 and L3 at the cylinder motor? If
yes, continue to step 16.
Correct wiring between cylinder motor and forward or
reversing contactor.
11 Is there voltage across the coils of either the forward or
reversing contactor? If yes, replace either the forward or
reversing contactor.
Continue to next step.
12 Is there voltage at the CW or CCW terminal on the solid
state timer? If yes, correct wiring between the solid state
timer and either the forward or reversing coil.
Continue to next step.
13 Is there voltage at L1 of the solid state timer? If yes,
replace solid state timer.
Continue to next step.
14 Is there voltage to the output of the auxiliary contacts on
the motor contactor? If yes, correct wiring between motor
contactor and solid state timer.
Continue to next step.
